Hourly Pay Range: $12-$15
- Greet customers
- Cash drawer responsibility, such as cashing out customers using the Passport, Virginia Lottery machine, etc.
- Assist customers with questions and ordering
- Ensure items that require a personal identification check are checked and sold in accordance with the law
- Maintenance of inventory: put away stock when groceries or vendors deliver items to the store; rotation of stock and pricing of individual items; stock drinks (including beer and wine) on a continuous basis to ensure stock in cooler does not fall short and is cool
- Store sanitation and cleaning supplies
- Maintenance of bathrooms, deli, stock shelves, back room, little back room, beer room, picking up trash outside, etc.
- Cook and prepare deli items on schedule to ensure stock in deli case is fresh and follows USDA code requirements
- Assist customers with purchasing a hunting and fishing license using the DGIF system
- Pay attention to shoppers and notify management of any suspicious activity
- Other duties as assigned
