The Temporary Purchasing Agent role is a 1st shift role responsible for supporting the purchasing needs for a large distribution center.  This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identifying suppliers
  • Making quality purchases at favorable prices
  • Working with internal departments and suppliers to support daily operations
  • Following policy and procedure
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Contributing to department cost savings goals
These are all primary duties of this position. The Temporary Purchasing Agent will review monthly open purchase orders and take action to bring outstanding purchases to completion. They will also interface with accounting and other departments to support the reconciliation and payment of invoices.


  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Have proven written ability to achieve reporting deadlines
  • Possess analytical skills, multi-task, and work with limited supervision
  • An Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent military experience
  • The ability to pass a felony free background check
