Barista (Charlottesville, VA)

Goodwin William Staffing is seeking Barista candidates who have knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment for our client in Charlottesville, VA. A Barista prepares and serves coffee and other beverages, often in a café or coffee shop setting. The role involves a combination of customer service, beverage preparation, and maintaining a clean work environment. Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred. The hours are 5:30 AM to about 1:30 PM; the schedule will vary but the person in this position will need to be available for weekend work. The rate of pay is $13 per hour, plus tips.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations
• Operate coffee-making equipment and maintain its cleanliness
• Manage cash register transactions and handle payments
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace, including the dining area
• Monitor inventory and assist with stock management

• May require standing for long periods and working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
