Goodwin William Staffing is seeking safety focused CDL-A Driver candidates for a 53 foot trailer. Candidates must have a great driving record for this full-time, hourly, day shift position, with our client in Charlottesville, VA.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run trailers back and forth and help with the panel crew during down time.
- Promote Safety.
- Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times, in accordance with the company standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE.
- Operate equipment.
- Operate Trailer in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Drive truck to job site and deliver material.
- Clean truck to minimize buildup.
- Inspect and maintain equipment.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Accurately complete daily mobile equipment reports.
- Clean the outside of the vehicle to ensure the absence of build-up at the end of each shift.
- Document and record information.
- Complete all forms, service reports, tickets, and required paperwork to ensure organization of documents and necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate and work closely with Dispatch, Maintenance, and Plant Management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good customer service.
- Haul materials to crews.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED
- Ready to drive: Must possess a commercial driver's license and CDL-A for a 53 Foot Trailer
- Knowledge of best practices: Knowledge of general principles, and practices of operating and servicing truck (preferred).
- Clean driving record: Clean, safe driving record is required, along with the ability to safely operate and control equipment while on the job.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work overtime, occasional nights, and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and be able to tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Safely operate a company vehicle as needed.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's directions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Class A CDL- A
- Safe driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to work in multiple locations
- Ready to drive: Must possess a commercial driver's license and CDL-A for a 53 Foot Trailer

- Clean driving record: Clean, safe driving record is required, along with the ability to safely operate and control equipment while on the job.
