Goodwin William Staffing is seeking Electronics Technician candidates for our client in Charlottesville, VA. This position is Temporary to Permanent. Prior experience is preferred but not required for this position. Electronics Technicians perform inspections, tests, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of various printed circuit board and electronic assemblies.
Candidates should have:
- Associate degree in technology and/or ETA Electronics Technician certification
- Have skills and knowledge of IPC standards with applicable IPC certification
- Knowledge of electronic circuit components
Skills required or to be learned:
- Read and work from electronic schematics, drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and component datasheets
- Identify electronic PCB components
- Manufacture, test, diagnose and repair electronic components and devices
- Product assembly, system testing, software testing, device testing
- Fault finding and trouble shooting
- De-solder and solder circuit components
- Keep track of component parts and inventory and communicate inventory needs to Purchasing
Candidate requirements:
- Effectively communicate with other co-workers and departments such as Assembly
- Engineering, Purchasing, and Management
- Good hand-eye coordination for working with sensitive and small electronic components
- Have basic skills with hand tools such as tweezers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, etc.
- Must Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Must maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Must adhere to proper use of PPE when required
- Must be punctual and reliable
