Job Description:

Goodwin William Staffing is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and skilled Field Service Technician I to join our team and work with our client in Charlottesville, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent customer service skills. As a Field Service Technician I, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch service and support.

Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct calibrations according to written procedures on customer’s site
  • Complete test and calibration documentation
  • Provide customer support by phone, email, or face-to-face
  • Comply with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) requirements
  • Maintain unit history documentation
  • Provide manager month end summary of jobs
  • Make sure measurement and test equipment in work area has a current calibration and is in proper working order; report all variances to Q.A. for correction
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including those affecting safety and relations with other employees, as well as job related procedures, such as correctly recording job completions and filling out parts requisition forms
  • Write up all non-conforming product according to current NCR procedures.
  • Must follow procedures established in compliance with ISO 9001
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Successful candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • Ability to type (40 wpm) and work efficiently on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods is required

Other

A basic English and math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process. The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as a condition for continued employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency (required). Certificate or Associate’s degree in Electronics or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 2 prior years calibration or electronic repair experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to rent a car (required)
  • Ability to travel 50% or more (required)
  • Ability to present the company in a professional manner during all interactions (required)
  • History of outstanding attendance and reliability
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent English and math skills
  • Good credit history and ability to charge travel expenses which will be reimbursed by the client upon return (required)
  • U.S. work authorization (required)
