General Site Crew Member (Afton, VA)

Goodwin William Staffing is seeking General Site Crew Member candidates for our client in Afton, VA.

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive skill set in general landscape and agricultural tasks. This role includes hours of physical labor on a daily basis, in all weather conditions. They should exhibit an excellent ability to stay on task, follow directions, and ask questions when needed. Additionally, they should be able to work independently and also with a team. Most of their work will vary day to day and season to season with the tasks assigned.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities will Include:

● Performing general landscape and agricultural work such as weed eating, digging, fence repair, picking up and hauling trash, etc...

● Operation and care for farm equipment such as excavators, tractors, UTVs, zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, wood chippers, assisting with snow removal etc...

● Must be able to lift 60 or more pounds on a limited basis and be able to occasionally work in situations two feet above the floor in a leaned-over or squatted position.

● Help out in other realms of the operation or other site locations when directed by the General Site Manager or Director, including after-hours events as needed.

● General plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, stonework, retaining walls, livestock care, or other trades are a plus, but not required.

● A capacity for noticing details around the operation and communicating to the manager(s) about issues arising around the operation.
