Light Fabrication Sheetmetal Mechanic (Hampton, VA)

Goodwin William Staffing is seeking an experienced Light Fabrication Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team/work with one of our clients in the Hampton Roads, VA area. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in the fabrication of ventilation in accordance with MIL-STD-1688/1689, Tech Pub 248/278 and PPD documentation.

• Respond to job assignment goal sheets daily by reading, understanding and properly interpreting travelers, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Must be able to cut, form, fit and qualify to tack weld light metal parts and assemblies (ventilation, lockers, cabinets, etc.), using a variety of modern machinery and efficient manufacturing techniques from a variety of metals (stainless steel, steel, aluminum).
• Must be flexible in shift assignment. This is a 2nd shift position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, DOE

Schedule: 8AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday, 2nd Shift

• Marine Ventilation Fabrication: 5 years (Required)
• High School or Equivalent Education
