CDL-A for Lowboy Drivers and CDL-B for Dump Truck Drivers

Goodwin William Staffing is seeking safety focused drivers (CDL-A for Lowboy; must be able to drive manual transmission) and (CDL-B for Dump Truck), with a great driving record for this full-time, hourly position, with our client in Charlottesville, VA. Day shift with some night and weekend work required.

What You'll Do:

• Promote Safety.
• Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times, in accordance with the company standards.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Operate equipment.
• Operate Lowboy Truck/Trailer in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Operate Dump Truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Drive truck to job site and deliver material.
• Clean truck to minimize buildup.
• Inspect and maintain equipment.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Accurately complete daily mobile equipment reports.
• Clean the outside of the vehicle to ensure the absence of build-up at the end of each shift.
• Document and record information.
• Complete all forms, service reports, tickets, and required paperwork to ensure organization of documents and necessary paperwork.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and work closely with Dispatch, Maintenance, and Plant Management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good customer service.
• Haul materials to crews.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Skills You'll Need:

• Ready to drive: Must be ready to drive and must possess a commercial driver's license and CDL-A for Lowboy, CDL-B for Dump Truck.
• Knowledge of best practices: Knowledge of general principles, and practices of operating and servicing truck (preferred).
• Clean driving record: Clean, safe driving record is required, along with the ability to safely operate and control equipment while on the job.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to work overtime, occasional nights, and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and be able to tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Safely operate a company vehicle as needed.

Perform additional assignments per supervisor's directions.

• Class A CDL (Lowboy)
• Must be able to drive manual transmission for Lowboy.
• Class B CDL (Dump Truck)
• Safe driving record
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to work in multiple locations
