Goodwin William Staffing is seeking candidates for Pool Bar Grill Cooks to join our team and work with our client in Virginia Beach, VA. The hours are 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., 5 days per week. The Pool Bar Grill Cook will be off on Mondays and possibly another week day (weekends are required).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeping track of meal prep components to ensure timely completion of dishes
- Chopping and preparing vegetables and other non-meat ingredients
- Stocking ingredients and other supplies
- Maintaining clean and sanitized workstations
- Checking perishable ingredients and food items for freshness
- Taking daily measures to prevent food cross-contamination
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Willingness to work as a team player when preparing dishes and coordinating meals
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and kitchen
- Knowledge of safe food handling requirements and food safety temperatures
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work required shift
- Comprehension skills when reading order tickets and recipes
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
- Servsafe certification a plus
